Nowadays, you can sell your products through different social media platforms. It really is a great way to get sales through different avenues and possibly reach people that you might not have otherwise. Since I am feeling creative today, I thought that I would post about the new ways to promote your products on social media to boost your sales!
Social media has become such a powerful tool and it is really cost effective. Also, since so many people are always on social media (whether it is Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, etc.), you won’t have to go out of your way to buy Instagram followers. As long as you are showcasing your product in the best way possible, you will definitely boost sales. Here are my tips on how to do just that.
1. Use Instagram to get people interested
Instagram is such a wonderful, versatile tool. It has definitely come a long way from when it first started, and now has way more features to help promote your brand and products. There are different ways to portray your Instagram, as well! The first thing you want to do is figure out if your content really tells a whole story or if it scattered or unclear. If you still need time to think about what you want to start posting or what direction you want to head towards, get inspired through other postings or through other social media platforms.
I usually print out pictures that I find inspiring and match up with my brand, and see if they fit together before getting started on posting. That is just a tip on ideas about how to get started!
2. Create Social Media Contests or Giveaways
Hosting a giveaway or contest through social media gets people interested in your product. People always love it when things are free and seeing someone win your product might entice them even more. You can do a post on Instagram giving away your product while making it a point to ensure that they are following you, liking your post, and actively engaging with your brand, too! Giveaways are the best way for some users to get their hands on a product first, and this brings me to my next tip!
3. Share Customer Raves and Reviews!
Showing how much other people truly enjoyed and loved your product is a fantastic way to create a buzz around your product and brand. Reviews are really important these days to get other people to purchase. Sometimes I might even skip over an item or choose a different brand simply based on lack of reviews from customers or poor reviews. Hearing how much real people use your product and hearing them rave has a great genuine feeling to it, as well. When people go out of their way to just express their love for your brand, you gotta give them credit!
Unboxings are a big thing nowadays and just another great way to get the word out. People can also see your incredible packaging or business card in the package to find your social media pages!
4. Come Up with Your Own Hashtag
Having a hashtag for your business gives people a way to find you. It can be as simple as your brand name or like Nike’s famous line #JustDoIt. Whatever it is, getting people to recognize it as a part of your brand is key to creating a buzz and to linking to other users.
Another quick tip, if you have a specific campaign coming up, creating a hashtag for it can boost followers finding out about the event and a way for them to see pictures of the event, as well. This is a great segway into everyone’s favorite topic: parties!
5. Host an Event to Boost Buzz
When you host an event, you are building excitement around your product launch date. Have people RSVP so you can collect their emails to market other products to them later, but also so you can email pictures of the event later so they can post on their own social media platforms. Whatever the event is, be sure to plan ahead and create a fun, comfortable experience for your guests.
Also when hosting an event, be sure that you create an experience that is relatable to your brand and image. You want to attract your target market and really showcase your story with the event you are hosting. Be sure to have a mini photo booth so that people can showcase how much of a fun time they had! My last piece of advice is the most important when it comes to event planning: have fun with it! I am serious, do not stress out about the party planning. Stay true to your brand’s story and your party vision will fall into place.
6. Post Videos about your Product and Brand
People love watching videos now more than ever. And now more than ever, it is also incredibly easy to make videos and post them just about everywhere: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and so many others! Posting videos will give your followers a sneak peek into what you’re up to when it comes to your product or what your brand is up to. Using the videos to showcase a lifestyle, especially a lifestyle with your product will boost sales and you won’t have to buy Instagram followers.
I would also create short ads through videos and post them to your social media platforms. It is a quick and cost-effective way to showcase your product creatively. Videos also do well when they feature a behind the scenes peek of your product, product launch, and the making of your product.
7. Send out Marketing Emails
Marketing emails are helpful in reminding people about when your product is being released or even that you exist. I receive so many marketing emails every day, and I actually really enjoy it. I view marketing emails as a way to “window shop” without having to leave my couch. You can also use all the creative videos you made and link them to your other social media platforms!
