Most TikTok users who spend a lot of time on the social media platform make regular use of the “Favorites” function.
It’s not hard to understand why. There’s so much terrific content on the app that it’s natural to want to save many of the TikTok posts you come across. And since you can bookmark a post with just one click of the “flag” icon, it can quickly become second-nature to send a boatload of TikTok videos to your favorites archive.
The average user is on the app for 60-90 minutes each day. Their favorited posts add up quickly, which can make finding one specific piece of saved TikTok content difficult. Thankfully, the platform allows you to create “collections” within your bookmark archive; separating your favorites into those categories makes the search for videos much easier.
When you create a new favorites collection, you have to name it before assigning bookmarked posts to it. Often, the name you initially choose doesn’t fit all of the content that winds up there.
That raises a common question.
How Do You Change a Collection Name on TikTok?
You edit the name of a collection right from the same place where all of your saved videos and collections reside: the content grid in your TikTok profile.
- Click the “Profile” icon at the bottom right of your home screen.
- Look in the middle of your profile to find the content grid, and tap the “Bookmarks” flag to show all of the videos you’ve saved.
- Click the “Collections” link and then choose the specific collection you want to rename.
- You’ll see a “Share” icon (a sweeping right arrow) at the top right corner of the screen. Tap it, and then select “Change name.”
- Enter the new name for your collection, and hit “Save.”
That’s all there is to it. Organizing and reorganizing your collections regularly may take a little time, but it’s time well spent if you want to have easy access to your favorite TikTok videos.
