Can You Download A TikTok Sound To Add To Your Playlist?

Most social media platforms make it easy to create videos, and TikTok is arguably the best. The apps usually don’t make it easy to use the TikTok posts you see in your feed for other purposes, though, and TikTok can be one of the worst.

There are copyright and other legal reasons for the restrictions they impose, but that’s small consolation. If you’ve heard a great song in a TikTok video and you want to put it into the playlist on your phone or use it on another platform, for example, there’s no simple way to download just the sound without the video.

The news isn’t all bad, though. You can get around the problem, but you’ll have to use a hack to do it.

Third-Party Websites and Apps to Download TikTok Sounds

A quick Google search will turn up numerous websites that let you save the sounds you hear in TikTok videos. You might understandably be worried about the safety of those sites, but QLoad is a good choice; it’s trustworthy, easy to use, and one of the most popular TikTok downloaders.

Another alternative is using a third-party TikTok online downloader like SaveTik. It’s designed to save videos from the app without watermarks, but you can use their MP3 converters to download and save just the audio from a video.

You can also find TikTok sound downloader apps in the Google Play Store (for Android devices) or the App Store (for iOS devices).

How to Download a TikTok Sound

Websites and apps that let you save sounds from TikTok all work essentially the same way.

  1. Find the video on TikTok that contains the music you want to download.
  2. Click the “Share” icon (an arrow that curves right) from the right-hand menu.
  3. Find the “Copy link” icon on the popup window that appears.
  4. Paste the link into the appropriate field on QLoad, SaveTik, or any other TikTok downloader website or app you choose.
  5. The sound will be downloaded (usually as an MP3 file) to the location on your computer or device that you choose.

Almost every TikTok user wishes the platform made it easy to download just the soundtrack of a video, but that’s unlikely to ever happen. This hack is your best option for the foreseeable future.

Spicy TikTok: It’s Probably Not What You Think

TikTok’s terms and conditions and Community Standards prohibit content that includes nudity (or implied nudity), sexually suggestive or explicit material, and non-consensual intimate imagery.
