Does TikTok Let You See Who Liked Your Videos?

It’s a great feeling to watch a video’s like count climbing, but it’s only natural to want to know who has liked your TikTok content, too.

Seeing a list of people who hit the “like” button doesn’t just provide another layer of validation for your work. It also helps you better understand the type of viewers that are enjoying your TikTok videos, allowing you to fine-tune future productions to appeal to a large target audience.

It used to be difficult and time-consuming to figure out exactly which TikTok users had given your posts the thumbs-up. A few years ago, though, the app added a new feature that lets TikTok account owners see a full list of the people who engaged with their vids by publicly liking them.

Here’s how to find it.

Seeing Who Liked Your TikTok Videos

Finding the complete list of those who’ve registered likes for your TikTok posts is surprisingly easy.

  1. Visit your TikTok profile by tapping on the “Profile” icon at the bottom right-hand corner of your home screen.
  2. Look at your content grid, in the middle of the profile page, to find and tap on the video you want to check.
  3. When it opens full-screen, tap on the Comments icon (three dots inside a bubble) to the right of the video.
  4. The bar at the top of the window that pops up has two options: Comments and Likes. Tap on “Likes” and you’ll see the full list of users who’ve liked your post.

You can also see your most recent likes by clicking the icon that opens your Inbox from the bottom of the screen and checking your notifications. Tap “Activity” and then “Likes” to see the list.

Can Other Users See Who Liked My Videos?

It depends on their settings on the social media platform. By default, only a user can see a list of videos that they’ve liked; no one else can. By changing one option, though, they can allow everyone to see that list.

To find the setting, go to Profile > Menu (the three horizontal lines at the top right of the profile screen) > Settings and privacy > Privacy, and scroll down to “Liked videos.” It should be set to “Only you,” but tapping that link lets you change the setting to “Everyone.”

That means all TikTok users can see which videos you’ve liked by visiting your profile and tapping on the “Likes” link, and then clicking the heart. You won’t be able to do that on other people’s profiles, though, unless they’ve enabled the setting that lets everyone see their likes.

Spicy TikTok: It’s Probably Not What You Think

TikTok’s terms and conditions and Community Standards prohibit content that includes nudity (or implied nudity), sexually suggestive or explicit material, and non-consensual intimate imagery.
