When you’re impressed by an influencer or popular content creator, you might want to see all of the comments they leave on TikTok posts to help you learn more about them.
If you want to get to know all about a potential business contact, the comments they’ve posted on the social media platform may tell you more than their TikTok profile.
And if you have a more personal reason to snoop on a friend (or former friend) and see everything they’re doing on TikTok, you’d probably want to see whose TikTok videos they’re commenting on and what they say.
Be warned, though: it’s not easy.
You can pull up a list of all of the comments you’ve left on TikTok users’ content, but there’s nowhere on the app where you can see a full list of someone else’s comments.
There’s a workaround that might help, though.
How To See Someone’s Comments on TikTok
It’s simple to look at the comments that have been left on a TikTok post. Just tap the “Comment” icon (three dots in a thought bubble), and you can scroll through the entire list.
If the person you’re “researching” happened to leave a comment on the post you’re currently viewing, you can search through the collection of comments to find what the person had to say.
That’s not a feasible way to find all of someone’s comments, though. The app has more than two billion users, and it’s estimated that as many as half of them upload TikTok content. That would be way too many posts to search to find someone’s random comment.
Here’s a better approach. It’s not perfect, but it will get you a lot closer to your goal.
The person whose comments you want to see probably interacts most often with videos posted by users they follow. As long as their account or their interactions haven’t been set to private, you can find a list of the TikTok accounts that they’re fans of. That’s an ideal starting point.
- Visit the TikTok profile of the person whose comments you want to see.
- Look for and click on their “Following” count, located underneath their profile photo and TikTok username.
- You’ll see a full list of the users they follow.
- Click on each one, view each of the videos they’ve posted, and check the comments to see if your “person of interest” has participated in the discussions. Follow the same process for every user on the list, and you’ll find many of the comments your POI has left.
This approach isn’t ideal. You still won’t find comments left on accounts that the person you’re researching doesn’t follow, and it will be an incredibly time-consuming process (unless the person only follows a few TikTok accounts). Unfortunately, though, the app’s privacy restrictions make this the best you can do.
Good luck!
