How To Get To The TikTok Shop

2 min read

When you think of TikTok, the first thing that comes to mind is probably “short, funny videos.” You might also think of lip-syncs, trending challenges, or TikTok Live streams.

Don’t sleep on the TikTok Shop, though. Statistics show that almost 60% of TikTok users have used the Shop; that’s more than a billion people. Many customers say they prefer shopping on TikTok because the social media platform’s algorithms tailor the experience and product choices to their activity on the app, showing them products they’d likely be most interested in.

There are more than 15 million stores in the Shop, giving customers an enormous range of options in a multitude of categories, and some surveys show that the TikTop Shop is the top-ranked choice of online users making impulse purchases.

Haven’t checked it out yet? Here’s how to get to the TikTok Shop.

Finding the TikTok Shop on the App

Don’t worry. This is an easy one.

  1. If you don’t have the TikTok app installed yet, visit the Google Play Store (if you have an Android device) or the Apple App Store (if you have an iOS device). Search for TikTok and the app will be the first result; download and install it, and set up an account.
  2. Open the app. On your homepage, look for the menu bar at the top of the screen, and tap “Shop.”
  3. You’re there. We told you it was easy!

You can also purchase products directly through the TikTok Shop that are promoted in your video feed or TikTok Live streams.

Be aware though, that the Shop is only currently available in some markets, including the US, UK, Mexico, Ireland, Spain, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam, and only on the app, not the TikTok website.

If you want to find the TikTok shop because you want to sell products there, you can sign up in the TikTok Seller Center by visiting seller.tiktok.com, or downloading the TikTok Seller Center app.

Spicy TikTok: It’s Probably Not What You Think

TikTok’s terms and conditions and Community Standards prohibit content that includes nudity (or implied nudity), sexually suggestive or explicit material, and non-consensual intimate imagery.
