How To Make A Slideshow On TikTok

Creating your first TikTok video can be intimidating, but don’t be scared. There’s an easier way to get started with content creation: making slideshows.

In less than a minute, you can select photos or videos chosen right from your phone’s camera reel, combine them, and wind up with a professional-looking display of images or clips complete with seamless transitions, music, and special effects.

Here’s how to do it.

Creating a TikTok Slideshow

We’ll assume that you already have a TikTok account, so there’s only one other preliminary step to take before making your slideshow. If you haven’t already given TikTok permission to access your photo library, you can either do that from your phone’s “settings” menu or wait until the app asks you for permission when you’ve started creating the show.

After that, it’s as simple as 1-2-3-4-5.

  1. Tap the “+” button at the bottom of the screen; that allows you to create a TikTok post. Then make sure “photo” is selected above the big white “record” button.
  2. If you want to create a slideshow that you’ve pictured in your mind, hit the “upload” icon to the right of the record button and work your way through the process. It’s easier, though, to start by choosing and tapping “Templates” at the bottom right of the screen.
  3. You’ll now be able to scroll through a large library of prepared template options for your slideshow. Each option will show you what the finished show will look like, along with the number of photos or videos you need to use the template (the minimum is one, the maximum is 35). Choose the template you prefer and click “upload photos.”
  4. You’ll now see thumbnails of all the content in your photo library. You just have to tap “+” on each photo you want to include — but plan out the production first, since the images will be added in the order that you click them. Tap “Next” and you’ll see a preview of your slide show complete with a prechosen song; if you don’t like the selection, click “Add sound” for a huge library of audio options. Uncheck “Original audio” when you’re satisfied or else you’ll hear both your chosen song and the one that comes with the template.
  5. If you want to add filters, stickers, or text to your slideshow, you’ll see editing tool icons on the right side of the screen if your template supports them. Then hit “Next,” and you’ll be able to complete your post with a caption, location, hashtags, mentions, and links, as well as the option to share the slideshow elsewhere.

Uploading Your Slideshow to TikTok

When you hit “Post,” your TikTok slideshow will be visible to your followers and other random surfers. (And if you want more people to be able to follow you and see your creations, be sure to check out our iDigic follower growth packages.)

Slideshows aren’t just for newbies, of course. They’re a great way for any TikTok user to turn a collection of favorite photos into an eye-catching and captivating piece of social media content!

Spicy TikTok: It’s Probably Not What You Think

TikTok’s terms and conditions and Community Standards prohibit content that includes nudity (or implied nudity), sexually suggestive or explicit material, and non-consensual intimate imagery.
