You might be surprised how many people have more than one TikTok account.
- Many TikTok users have a creator account for their personal use and a business one for their company.
- Lots of content creators and influencers have several accounts, each focusing on a different niche and target audience.
- Some people often access their own TikTok account as well as one they created for a parent or grandparent.
- Others may have one they tell their friends about and another that’s saved for interacting with family, or an account for each of their TikTok user “personas.”
- Social media managers regularly use different accounts for each of their clients, and companies may use different accounts for each of their brands.
If you’re one of those folks who’s gotten tired of using several phones or devices for your various TikTok presences, or you’ve thought about setting up another account but didn’t want to deal with the hassle, there’s good news. It’s simple to log out of one and into another right from the same phone.
How To Switch Accounts on TikTok
If you’ve been motivated to create a second account by learning that it’s easy to juggle them, we’ll let you know how to do that shortly. Assuming you already have more than one account, here’s the three-step method of switching between them.
- Open your TikTok profile page by clicking the “Profile” icon at the bottom right of your home screen.
- Tap the “Menu” icon (three horizontal lines) at the top of your profile page, and choose “Settings and privacy” on the popup menu.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom of the next screen, click on “Switch account,” and select the account you want to use.
It couldn’t be easier.
How To Open Another TikTok Account
An important note before starting: you must use a different phone number for each account you create. Figure out how to deal with that potential issue before trying to open another TikTok account.
Now, follow the three steps we’ve just listed, but since you don’t yet have a second account on the social media platform, select “Add account” instead. Enter your details, complete the verification process, and you’re done.
You should be aware that while you’re allowed to have as many as six TikTok accounts, you could face shadowbans or other penalties if you switch between them too often. Take things slow, and you should be fine.
