TikTok Stars Who Have Died Recently

If it seems to you that celebrities die more often than other people, you’re not imagining things.

Numerous studies have found that famous people, particularly those in the entertainment industry, are more likely to die at unusually young ages. Among the reasons blamed by researchers are high stress, celebrity lifestyles, and substance abuse which may be more pronounced among those with lots of money.

TikTok influencers and stars aren’t immune to those problems — or to medical issues that can affect anyone — and a shocking number of TikTok users who became celebrities on the social media platform have sadly died in recent years.

Recent Deaths of TikTok Stars

Just in the last six months, TikTok fans were mourning:

  • 17-year-old Pakistani influencer Sana Yousaf, who was killed by gunshots apparently fired by an obsessed fan (who was arrested). Sara had more than 800,000 TikTok fans.
  • Anna Grace Phelan, who was 19 when she died of brain cancer. She documented her illness on her TikTok account.
  • The “Okay Baby,” Preston Ordone, who was killed in a car crash at age two. Preston was survived by his mom, Katelynn, who posted his videos.
  • Travel influencer Vanessa Konopka, who died at age 28 from a serious illness.
  • Teen celebrity poster Joshua Blackledge was 16 when he died; no cause has been given.
  • Vlogger and producer Alysha Burney suffered an asthma attack on a birthday vacation. She was 25.
  • Bailey Hutchins, a registered nurse and cancer patient who campaigned for early cancer screenings, died of colon cancer at age 26.
  • Fitness influencer Chris O’Donnell, known on TikTok asCreeohdee and followed by more than a million fans, took his own life at age 31.

Other TikTok stars who had passed away in the previous six months include Rachel Yaffe (liver cancer), Bella Bradford (cancer), Taylor Rousseau Grigg (undisclosed medical issues), Caleb Graves (cardiac arrest after running a half-marathon), and Jainer Moises Pinedo Garcia, known on the app as the Dancing Engineer (dengue fever).
